Two police officers who are watching guard during an ongoing protest in Ferguson Police Station in Missouri were shot by unidentified person or persons. The victims are currently under serious conditions.

The two unnamed Ferguson officers were shot early Thursday morning while standing guard outside the police station. According to St. Louis County Chief of Police John Belmar, the incident was considered an "ambush," which has now prompt a manhunt operation for the suspect or suspects responsible for shooting the officers, as reported by CNN.

The unfortunate incident transpired at the end of the protest against the tainted Ferguson Police Department. The racial discrimination issue being faced by the said police department is due to the shooting of Michael Brown, a black American teenager who was shot by one of its officers. Shots were heard just before the end of the protest rally, followed by shouts and people running.

The two Ferguson police officers, aged 41 and 32, were in serious conditions before being released from Barnes Jewish Hospital after they suffered from non-life threatening injuries after the incident early Thursday morning. The St. Louis County Officer was shot in the shoulder while the Webster Groves officer was shot in the face. As of today, ABC News revealed that no suspects has been known yet.

As per St. Louis Police Chief John Belmar, they were lucky that they didn't lose the two police officers to the shooting.

Meanwhile, in an amateur video obtained by Associated Press, an unseen and unidentified person was heard screaming the words, "Acknowledgement nine months ago would have kept that from happening," following two fired gunshots, as Yahoo! News cited.

In an interview, one of the protesters said that the protest rally was peaceful until they heard the shots that brought the two Ferguson police officers down and cause the sudden surprise to everyone that cause everybody to run.

The Thursday morning incident, in which two police officers were shot during a protest, is causing a huge rage between two ethnic groups in Ferguson, Missouri.
