Apple Watch US preorder is already here, and avid Apple fans can now order the latest wearable technology from the Cupertino-based tech giant as early as now.
On Friday, Apple already began accepting pre-orders for its vast line of smartwatches, ahead of the official April 24 release date of the device, CNET reports.
What's good about pre-ordering the Apple Watch is that consumers can prevent the possibility of not having their newest device on the day of its release because supplies have ran out.
Unfortunately, an hour after it opened its Apple Watch US preorder service, Apple announced on its site that new orders would not ship until the summer.
Apple also indicated that its wearable devices with black writs straps and those with grey cases were among the fastest selling versions based on the number of preorders made.
The most expensive version - the golden Apple Watch Edition - is said to start shipping a week after other versions arrive.
In China, the Apple Watch Edition has already sold out within the first hour despite its rather expensive pricing, Financial Post has learned.
Starting April 24, the Apple Watch will be sold online or in trendy fashion shops in Paris, London and Tokyo. However, walk-in buyers can only obtain their own model after they have set an appointment to a boutique selling the wearable device.
The Apple Watch has three divisions: the Apple Watch Sport, which is starts at $349; the Apple Watch standard edition, which stars at $549 and the Apple Watch Edition, which starts at $10,000 and can go as high as $17,000.
The Apple Watch is the Cupertino-based company's wearable technology that strategically comes in two sizes: the smaller 38mm one for women and the 42mm version for men.
Comparing the specs and features of the two: the 42mm packs in 390 x 212 pixels while the 38mm has 340 x 272 pixels.
The device has a gyroscope, an accelerometer and health tracking sensors aside from the built-in iOS apps it houses.
The wearable has 8GB of storage and 2GB more for music, according to Wareable.
