As a way of getting rid of the old and making space for the new, Apple's iPhone 4S has seen major price decreases in the past months. The product price was docked down in order to get people to buy them to create stocking space for the new iPhone 5. Customers are now debating on whether to patiently wait for the iPhone 5 to be released and pay the big bucks for it or whether to give in to what the iPhone 4S has to offer for a much cheaper price.
Whichever decision customers make, history shows that loyal iOS customers will still be likely to purchase the iPhone 5, even if prices had not decreased for the iPhone 4S. This was seen when customers still bought the iPhone 4S, despite the fact that it looked very similar to the iPhone4 and didn't provide too much of a difference either.
It is rumored that the iPhone 5 may present a different scenario than the last, offering a new design from the iPhone 4S, a bigger touch screen, and talk about the new phone having liquipel waterproofing also exists. Despite speculations as to what the phone might be like, the biggest question is whether it will be impressive to customers, as many are looking to the company to provide something drastically different this time around.
It has been reported that customers can expect to see the highly anticipated iPhone 5 in late summer. Before then, the difficult choice whether to wait or submit to buying the iPhone 4S lingers.
