Emilia Clarke was a real sport when she opened about the nude scenes she did on the set of the latest installment of the successful sci-fi franchise, "Terminator Genisys."
According to JustJared, Emilia Clarke said, “Naked in a harness was fun – doing stunts, that was good. That was interesting.” Doing nude scenes is nothing new for Clarke as she has done several of them for the popular hit television series “Games of Thrones," People.com reported.
Clarke revived the legendary role of the film’s female lead character Sarah Connor which was originally played by Linda Hamilton, one which Clarke received promising reviews for her role.
Clarke had to go nude in the time travel scene in "Terminator Genisys" because clothing could affect the result. She wasn't alone though as her co-star, Jai Courney, was also naked in the same scene.
Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has his own opinion on the matter as he had done some nude scenes as well. According to NDTV, the actor said that doing nude scenes can be “embarrassing, but fun.”
The former California Governor added that doing nude scenes “leads to funny conversations and funny dialogue and great humor and everything like that.” The actor also said that doing risqué scenes are “inevitable” and that actors “have to do it.” It was part of the job and the cast and crew wanted to keep things close to the original as possible, as Schwarzenegger himself actually stripped down in the original film.
Actors are not the only one stripping on the set of "Terminator Genisys." Assistant Director Phil Patterson always gave his support by being half-naked whenever they did nude scenes for the movie.
"Terminator Genisys," directed by Alan Taylor, is an attempt to breathe life to the "Terminator" franchise. The movie was actually a reboot and Taylor really made an effort in recreating scenes from the original 1984 film.
