Mystery surrounded Bobbi Kristina Brown even while she was fighting for dear life in a US long term care facility after she was discovered unresponsive in the Atlanta home she shared with partner Nick Gordon.

E! News revealed that she called one of her best pals, Alex Reid, three weeks prior to the 911 call from her home. Alex recalled that her friend sounded scared and upset over the phone and that she was inside her late mother's closet, hiding from her live-in partner, Nick Gordon.

"She was sobbing. Nick had hit her and she was scared," explained Alex. "She was very upset. She didn't know what to do. It was as if, she didn't have anyone else to turn to. It was heartbreaking," she added.

Alex, who lives in California, would often speak to Bobbi, Whitney Houston's daughter, sometimes even every day. She has decided to come out and speak for the first time about her best friends' tragic history because she felt that there is no one else but her to be the voice for Bobbi.

She has disclosed that the hiding incident was one of the many sad events in Bobbi Kristina's life. Alex said, "Krissi was physically abused by Nick on a number of occasions and she told me about some of them. I never witnessed anything...she would FaceTime me every time she was distraught, when something has just happened or show me a bruise." 

According to a report by Nzherald, It is unclear up to this day what really happened in the final hours and police are still investigating. She added, "There are things that I know that no one else does. And I hope that by speaking out I can help the investigation in some way."

In other news, OK! detailed that despite her critical condition, a motorist, Russell J. Eckerman, filed a legal action against Bobbi. He has claimed that her vehicle crashed into his in Fulton County last January 27.

The lawsuit stated, "Defendant Brown was traveling at an imprudent speed for conditions and was following too closely and improperly attempted to change lanes in order to avoid the vehicle stopping in front of her."

"Defendant Brown lost control of the vehicle she was operating crossed the centre line and collided with Plaintiff's vehicle causing extensive damage to Plaintiff's vehicle and serious personal injury to Plaintiff."

Russell allegedly sustained serious injuries and has claimed he spent $730,000 for his medical bills.
