U.S. television game show host Alex Trebek is recovering from a mild heart attack in which he suffered on Saturday. The 71-year-old "Jeopardy!" host was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to Sony Television in a statement.
"Trebek is in good spirits and is currently under observation and undergoing further testing," the statement said.
This is not the first time Trebek has suffered from a heart attack. Back on December 11 2007, he was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a minor heart attack in his home. He was released four days later and returned to the production of "Jeopardy!" as scheduled on January 14, 2008, to tape the Teen Tournament.
"Jeopardy!" is an American television quiz show featuring trivia in history, literature, the arts, pop culture, science, sports, geography, wordplay, and other topics. The show created by the late Merv Griffin, began in 1964 and Trebek has been hosting the show since 1984.
He is expected to recover and begin filming the next season of "Jeopardy!" in July, according to his studio.
