FIRST LOOK: ‘Sherlock’ Actor Benedict Cumberbatch In Victorian Suit [PHOTO]

BBC One has shared a photo of Benedict Cumberbatch in his "Sherlock" character. The teaser image shows the master sleuth in a different getup.
The series will be back on TV later this year for a special episode. This special episode depicts a Victorian England and both Sherlock (Cumberbatch) and sidekick Watson (Martin Freeman) are dressed much like the gentlemen of the era.
Both are sporting three-piece suits and slicked down hair. Watson even grows a handlebar moustache as seen in the photo, according to The Verge.
The photo was released ahead of the "Sherlock" panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where executive producers Stevem Moffat and Sue Vertue, along with actor Rupert Graves (playing DI Lestrade) are set to appear.
The special episode, which is set to air by the end of the year, will be based on the short story "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle," one of the 56 short Sherlock Holmes stories written by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Nonetheless, viewers can expect an entirely new show that is totally different from the plot lines and that suspenseful cliffhanger from Season 3. The three-episode series keep fans wondering how this change will jive with the temperamental "Sherlock" that Cumberbatch has become known for, and how, along with Watson, will they manage to inject humor while under pressure?
Express reported that "Sherlock" will not be returning for a full series until 2017. Actors Cumberbatch and Freeman are reportedly two of the most in demand actors not only in their native country, but also around the world, making film scheduling a bit difficult.
When asked if it was harder to shoot "Sherlock" in a Victorian setting rather than the contemporary environment, Vertue said that "It is a lot more expensive," reported CNET.
"Sherlock" airs on PBS in the U.S. and on BBC One in the UK.
