Director James Gunn recently signed on to Periscope to answer questions from fans, most of them asking about the upcoming sequel to "Guardians of the Galaxy." The six-million-dollar question is whether the Hulk will appear in the sequel after the green behemoth flew off in a quinjet in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Gunn revealed that the Hulk will not make an appearance or a cameo despite hopes from fans of seeing a "Planet Hulk"-like arc in the Guardians sequel.

Moviepilot reported that another juicy reveal had something to do with Peter Quill's father. While Gunn did not disclose the identity of Quill's old man, he will not be the same person as in the comics, since the movie has a new take on the matter. Whoever will be Star-Lord's father still remains a mystery. Fans simply have to wait.

As for other updates, Nebula and Yondu will return along with the five original Guardians from the first film. The script for the film is finished, and they are working on new characters as well. Only Peter Quill appears as a human character in the sequel (though technically, he is half Terran).

The film's soundtrack played an integral part in the movie, with everyone going "ooka chakka ookka chakka" when the trailer for the first film was released. We all witnessed how Quill listened with passion to the mix tapes his mother made for him that were mostly infectious hits of the '70s and '80s.

Some fans are wondering what kind of soundtrack the next Guardians will be cooking for the lineup. Peter Flynn of Moviepilot wonders what type of Earth music the Star-Lord would come to enjoy next after his abduction.

In related "Guardians of the Galaxy" news, IGN revealed that the new GOTG animated series debuts on Saturday, September 26, on Disney XD.
