John Stamos checked into a rehab — a residential program for substance abuse treatment — following a recent arrest, People exclusively confirmed.

Stamos was cited for DUI, according to Mirror. In a statement released by Beverly Hills Police Department, it was confirmed that the 51-year-old actor is set to make an appearance in court on Sept. 11.

BHPD got a tip that the "Fuller House" actor had been drinking before he was seen erratically driving along Santa Monica Boulevard in June.

The officers stopped the vehicle (silver Mercedes), and the only person inside was identified by his driver's license and own statement as John Phillip Stamos. Then, he was sent to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for observation due to a "possible medical condition."

After further investigation, it was found that he was indeed driving under the influence and was arrested. However, he was released after the hospital treatment, according to Just Jared.

Following the arrest, the former "ER" star took to Twitter and thanked his fans for the love and support.

"Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well," Stamos wrote. "Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care."

Despite this whole incident, "Grandfathered," Stamos' next project, will not be affected. The production is expected to begin in mid-August, and the show is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 29.

Meanwhile, Stamos, who reportedly pulled out from co-hosting the 2015 Emmy Awards nomination, is currently producing the reboot of "Full House."

There's been a conflict about this because Lifetime also announced that it was developing Stamos' former show. His reaction was just a simple "good luck with that."

Original cast Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner, were apparently not informed of this new series for Netflix. According to the twins, they didn't know anything about the show's revival, and Stamos didn't reach out to them either.
