From the time when "Fifty Shades Darker" was announced to be released in 2017, there have been numerous speculations about the cast, its plot and the number of raunchy scenes. Though still unconfirmed, the rumors and updates just keep on trickling in.
As Universal Studios revealed that "Fifty Shades Darker" will be more of a romantic thriller, cast speculations are running abuzz that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill will be portraying the role of Anastasia's wickedly vile boss, Jack Hyde, as per The Stir. And if confirmed, International Business Times noted the 32-year-old Brit hunk will surely give Jamie Dornan's character, Christian Grey, a run for his money.
In addition to the cast speculations, 39-year-old "Mad Max: Fury Road" actress Charlize Theron is also being considered to play the role of Elena Lincoln. As previously reported, 38-year-old "Shame" actor Michael Fassbender and model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne are being considered for certain roles in "Fifty Shades Darker." They are allegedly playing the roles of Dr. Flynn and Leila Williams, respectively.
Aside from the casting rumors, "Fifty Shades Darker" promises to be darker than its predecessor. And along with its darker plot, the sequel might be showing more nudity after Dornan was offered $1.5 million to shoot a full frontal nudity scene in the movie, Daily Mirror revealed.
While avid fans await confirmation that "Fifty Shades Darker" has finally begun filming, actress Eloise Mumford (Kate Kavanagh) declined to comment when the filming commences. According to Movie News Guide, the 28-year-old actress only expressed her excitement for the sequel.
Fortunately, lead star Dakota Johnson said that the erotic sequel is set to begin filming in the New Year, Melty reported.
"Fifty Shades Darker" will depict how Christian Grey will try to win Anastasia Steele back again. Ana, on the other hand, will be in a constant struggle between her new job, her attraction towards obsessive Christian and her despicable boss Jack Hyde, who keeps on luring her for sex.
Casting rumors keep on emerging, however, no official announcement about the latest "Fifty Shades Darker" details has been made yet. For now, the only definite detail about the sequel is its release date, which will be on Feb. 10, 2017, while the final installment in the trilogy is set to premiere on Feb. 9, 2018.
