RECAP: ‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 2 Gives Vegeta Family Time
By Staff Reporter | Jul 13, 2015 10:37 PM EDT
With Goku finally being able to train with King Kai and Lord Beerus leveling everything to the ground as expected, it's time for Vegeta to hug the spotlight with an episode focusing on him. While Goku stays on King Kai's planet for training, Vegeta, Bulma and Trunks are off for a much-needed bonding time.
The News Hub reported that "Dragon Ball Super" returns featuring the Saiyan prince Vegeta tagging along the family trip because he's keeping a promise. Which promise might that be? Yeah, it's the promise he made to Trunks all those years ago to bring him to an amusement park. This is a new side to this very snobbish character that even his wife Bulma would find sweet.
Attack of the Fanboy said that before the family trip begins, it will show King Kai on his planet. While nothing significant was happening in Kai's domain, Goku, like what he did to his other mentors, shows up and implores King Kai to train. As soon as he begins training, the episode zooms in on the Vegeta angle.
Along with his wife and son, the episode features a montage of the trio having fun together like riding on a train, eating ice cream and Trunks getting a toy. It would be a treat for fans given that they rarely see Vegeta having fun. Of course, there will be a part where Vegeta's volatile temper will be tested-like when they go to see a concert.
Episode 2 will also show Beerus telling Whis to find him a challenger. They go to an alien planet and encounter a nemesis who doesn't measure up to Beerus' might.
"Dragon Ball Super" has been well received by fans and online critics. Some followers of the show however, believed that this long-running animé can still have plenty of room for improvement. Design & Trend makes some suggestions that you can read here.
"Dragon Ball Super" Episode 2 aired on Sunday, July 12.
