10 Engineering Schools With the Most International Students

Just about every graduate engineering school in the United States enrolls international students, but only a handful of full-time programs enroll many more students from abroad than others.

According to U.S. News, on average, of the 194 ranked graduate engineering schools that reported data, international students accounted for 54 percent of student bodies, and at 19 institutions, made up more than 75 percent.

The following are the engineering schools where the international students made up the largest proportions of the full-time student body in fall 2011 (with an 11th school listed due to a tie):

Percentage international students: 82.2%

 

8. University of Houston (Cullen)

Fall 2011 full-time enrollment: 739

Percentage international students: 83.5%

 

7. University of Texas-Dallas (Jonsson)

Fall 2011 full-time enrollment: 1,088

Percentage international students: 84.2%

 

6. University at Buffalo (SUNY)

Percentage international students: 84.3%

 

5. University of Texas--Arlington

Fall 2011 full-time enrollment: 985

Percentage international students: 84.7%

 

4. Illinois Institute of Technology (Armour)

Percentage international students: 85.5%

 

3. Syracuse University
