Vladimir Putin Iran Deal: Russian President Gets Credit For Nuclear Program Deal

The Kremlin favors the Iran deal, and Russia's President Vladimir Putin hugged the credit. The Russian Foreign Ministry tweeted on Tuesday that the Iran nuclear program is based on the approach articulated by Putin.
In a statement released by the Kremlin, Putin added that the deal means that its bilateral relations with Iran will receive a new impetus and will no longer be influenced by external factors, reported Business Insider.
Iran forged an agreement with world powers on Tuesday to restrain Iran's nuclear program for 10 years in exchange for relief from international sanctions worth billions of dollars.
Russia appears as the big winner in this deal. As Senior Associate Paul N. Schwartz of the Center for Strategic and International Studies wrote in a paper back in June, Iran is likely to emerge from this process as a newly empowered state.
Iran and Russia are the main supporters of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, which has been fighting largely the Sunni uprising for 4 years, and both countries oppose many Saudi initiatives.
Putin also said that Moscow would do everything in its power to ensure the agreement worked and called on all sides to fulfill their part of the bargain.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also said that they have great plans to develop Iran's nuclear energy, since Russia plans to put up more nuclear reactors in the country, according to the Nation.
On a separate occasion addressing the issue of digital currencies particularly bitcoins in an educational forum broadcast, Putin has taken a firm stance against the use of digital currencies. He said that the technology could be best considered as a novel way to manage or calculate transactions, on account that such method of exchange can be problematic.
Russia's lawmakers updated a draft bill designed to prohibit the use of digital currencies as monetary substitutes, said CoinDesk.
