Rapper Calvin Broadus, Jr., better known by his stage name, Snoop Dogg, was arrested early this [Thursday] morning in Norway after a drug-sniffing dog detected that he was in possession of marijuana while entering the country.
According to TMZ, Snoop Dogg was stopped at the Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand, the county capital of Southern Norway, where officials found eight grams of weed and a large amount of cash.
Customs officers said they did not recognize the megastar at first and found him to be polite and cooperative, showing "no prima donna whims," according to Norway's Verdens Gang newspaper.
The rapper was released after being fined about $1,980 for the small amount of marijuana and then fined about $7,000 for carrying more cash than is legally allowed.
Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform Thursday, at a musical festival in the southern town of Kristiansand.
This incident at the airport was the rapper's second drug bust this year alone. This past January, the same incident took place in Texas, after a drug-sniffing canine revealed under a half-ounce of weed on the rapper's tour bus.
