Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, is going to be one of the busiest 13-year-olds out there. Just a couple of days ago, Kaia landed her first contract with IMG Models.
IMG Models announced the news by posting a photo of the young stunner taken for Vogue Italia in Instagram with the caption imgmodelsNOW REPRESENTING: @KaiaGerber. Welcome to the family! #IMGirls | @VogueItalia | Steven Meisel | # Pat McGrath
Kaia is now part of one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world which boasts a very impressive list of models including Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Candice Swanepoel.
Aside from doing a photo shoot for Vogue Italia, Kaia Gerber was also featured, together with her brother Presley Gerber, in "CR Fashion Book."
Kaia said in a statement that she's happy that she did the photo shoot with her brother. She also added that they are fortunate to have worked with two of the most talented people in the fashion industry — Bruce Weber and Carine Roitfeld, E! News reported.
Huffington Post reported that after being signed by IMG Models, Kaia landed her first acting role in a new Indie film entitled "Sister Cities." The rest of the cast includes Stana Katic, Michelle Trachtenberg, Troian Bellisario and Oscar-nominee Jacki Weaver.
The film "Sister Cities" is based on a play written by Collette Freedman. The plot of the film focuses on the failed relationship of four sisters who now need to come together to face their mother's death.
Director Sean Hanish said that Kaia made an impression during her audition. Hanish added that Kaia is very mature and her instincts were "impressive for her age."
Kaia Gerber started modeling when she was just 10 years old, but her mother temporarily put her modeling career on hold because of her age at the time.
