One year after Ciara and Future broke up their engagement, Future said that he never cheated on Ciara and that the main reason he called off the engagement was because he felt like there are growing apart.

Huffington Post reported that the rapper promoted his newest album, "DS2," on Monday at HuffPost Live. When the host asked why his relationship with Ciara ended, the rapper insisted that he did not cheat on Ciara.

He said that most people already had an opinion about what really happened and that most speculated that he cheated. The truth, according to Future, is they grew apart and started to see things differently. He said that he honestly believed that their relationship will not work out anymore. He also revealed that he already called off the engagement before the rumors that he cheated started to spread.

Future's statement is in total contrast to what Ciara said last year. According to several sources, it was Ciara who called off the engagement after she caught Future cheating with Tyrina Lee, his wardrobe consultant.

According to US Weekly, both Ciara and Future are trying their best to focus on their 14-month-old son. Future said that he has five children: four boys and one girl, and being a father is one of the greatest feelings in the world. They look at him as their "dad" and not "Future, the rapper." He also revealed that he still does "daddy duties" and that he knows his responsibility as a father.

Ciara has since moved on and is currently dating Super Bowl champ Russell Wilson. Wilson revealed last week that they decided as a couple to abstain from having sex. According to Entertainment Weekly, when the host of HuffPost Live informed Future about this, the rapper jokingly said that God told him an entirely different thing.

"God told me something else," Future said. "He ain't tell me to wait. I guarantee you that. We prayed afterwards though. After we did it, we prayed. That's a true story."
