Jennifer Lawrence's new tattoo — that chemical formula H2O — is a definite attention-grabber.

It is odd and unexpected, yes. However, what makes it even more controversial is she got it while she was hanging out with "Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2" co-star Liam Hemsworth and his family, Fox News learned.

She did it with the Hemsworths? Does this mean they are dating?

"I was with Liam's family and everybody was getting tattoos," she told HitFix in an interview, after calling her tattoo a "watered-down rebellion."

Yes! That exact little detail the "Joy" actress cracked during the Comic-con interview spiked speculations that she was done with Coldplay front man Chris Martin, and is moving on with the 25-year-old actor.

"Well I'm always gonna need to be hydrated," the "Silver Linings Playbook" star continued. " So I guess I should just get H2O on my hand."

The 24-year-old actress said that the color of her new tattoo was natural, so it looked like a scar. She stated that it was the most rebellious ink anybody could get.

There's just one minor error on her new tat. The number two is in superscript, and in H2O, the two is supposed to be in subscript — so, not quite scientifically accurate.

The "American Hustle" actress of course knew about this and said she could have Googled it first before deciding to have it forever marked in her body, E! News reported.

This isn't the first time that Lawrence and Hemsworth's on-screen tandem is rumored of becoming real.

It's also definitely not the first time she's been with the Hemsworths. In fact, in one interview, she revealed that she and their "Hunger Games" co-star, Josh Hutcherson, have been hanging around Hemsworth's [Liam] place, according to Daily Times Gazette.

Additionally, she said that she got the Australian actor crazy about "Vanderpump Rules" and "hooked on reality TV."

The rumored blossoming relationship is not yet confirmed. However, fans are totally shipping the on-screen Gale-Katniss to off-screen Hemsworth-Lawrence tandem.

Oh rumors... Simply because of a new tattoo.
