"Once Upon A Time" season 5 returns on ABC, adding one more character to excite your Sunday nights. "Brave's" Merida will come to Storybrooke in the person of Amy Manson, MTV News has learned.

The Disney Princess' arrival at the show is quite on time as the latest season also deals with Emma becoming a Dark Swan, Rumpelstiltskin's problems with his magic and the on-off romance of Regina and Robinhood, Comic Book Resources reported.

Remember Elsa and the other characters of Frozen arriving at the show last season? It seems that ABC is making a pattern of adding at least one Disney character to each season, according to Comic Book.

Now that we know "Once Upon A Time" season 5 will feature Merida, let's get to know Amy Manson, the actress who will be playing independent-minded princess.

1. She is definitely Scottish.

Being Scottish is probably the best thing Merida and Manson have in common. Who could play the role of a Scottish princess better than a Scotland-native actress?

Manson was born and raised in Aberdeenshire, Scotland on Sept. 9, 1985, according to IMDb. She currently lives in North London.

2. She likes stunts more than singing.

It's not that she can't sing. She is just more comfortable fighting the undead, casting spells and flying on a dragon.

Singing is already out of Manson's comfort zone. That's why, when she got a role in "The Caucasian Chalk Circle," she admitted that she had a hard time.

3. She wants to keep fit.

The 29-year-old actress said she'd love to go to another series like "Atlantis," where she played as a warrior with magical powers.

"It's something which keeps me on my toes every day," she said in an interview with Daily Record, "I love keeping fit — your mind is a lot more active when you are doing physical things. And it's fun."

4. Her films and television series.

"Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud" in 2007 was Manson's debut film. In the same year, she also played as Amy Armstrong in the movie "Blood Monkey."

In 2010, she played Daisy in "Being Human" and in 2011, she played Fleur Morgan in "Outcasts."

5. What she thinks about working in America as an actress.

"You need to be in America for a long time just in order to be seen, to stick in people's heads so they give you more chances," she said in the same interview with Daily Record.

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will premiere on Sept. 27.
