"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Spoilers Update - Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero throwdown, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," is already so detailed that even without an official synopsis, fans know what the film has to offer. And as the latest rumors and news about the movie continuously emerged, viewers' expectations have intensified.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" features a great ensemble of cast. Headlining the movie are Brit actor Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, who play the roles of Superman and Batman, respectively. While Gal Gadot portrays Wonder Woman's character, Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor. But fans are wondering who will play the role of Batman's sidekick and Boy Wonder, Robin?
Rumors have it that Zack Snyder's 19-year-old son, Eli, who we have seen as young Leonidas in "300" as well as young Rorschach in "Watchmen," is playing the role of Batman's trusty comrade Robin. Based on the latest "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" spoiler update of Slashfilm, Eli might appear as Robin in a flashback scene in the movie, where The Joker (Jared Leto) will be responsible for his demise.
Eli Snyder, who has definitely a superhero stance, is reportedly considered for Robin's role. While his rumored addition to his dad's superhero showdown film makes sense, some DC Comics fans might be slightly disappointed after expecting to see a famous actor playing the role. Noticing the circulating speculation, set photographer Clay Enos teased fans with a photo of Zack and Eli on Instagram.
"#Repost @cruelfilms ã»ã»ã» Boy wonder?" Enos captioned his post.
After "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Comic-Con trailer revealed that Robin exists in the upcoming DC Comics film, Heroic Hollywood claimed they know the actor who'll portray the role. And it's none other than the son of the film's director, Eli Snyder, IGN noted.
"Eli Snyder is quite the athlete. He is 6'0" and weighs 174 pounds," Heroic Hollywood said. "As the starting quarterback, Eli put up good stats at Maranatha High Varsity Football. Watching Eli's senior highlight reel, he certainly has the youth, athleticism, and physicality to be Robin in real life!"
As of the moment, Eli Snyder's addition in "Batman v Superman" is considered a rumor and has not been confirmed yet.
In other news, actress Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman," will be showcasing her comedic antics in the upcoming films "Keeping Up with the Joneses" along with Jon Hamm and in the heist drama "Triple Nine" opposite Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor, International Business Times reported.
"This is the first major comedy role that I've done; I had a small role in 'Date Night' [2010]," the 30-year-old Israeli actress told Interview magazine. "But it's going great. I'm playing Natalie Jones, who's married to Tim Jones [played by Hamm], and they're spies who work for the agency and are sent to suburbia for a mission."
Despite acting in a comedy film, Gadot revealed that she is taking her role with outright seriousness as comedy comes naturally to her.
Meanwhile, catch Gal Gadot's portrayal of Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as it will hit theaters Mar. 25, 2016.
