"Five Nights at Freddy's," created by Scott Cawthon, started the first three games with a player who's working as a night guard in a restaurant. He uses different mechanics to survive against animatronic characters.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 4," however, differs from its predecessors. Here are the things that you need to know about the scary, 4th installment of the "FNAF" franchise.

1.  You will play as a child.

The game puts you in a role of a child. Before taking over the control, a nightmare bear will show you the rope first instead of a phone guy.

There will be no security cameras to monitor, so instead of keeping an eye on things, you'll need to listen to whatever is lurking out there. In fact, the game will tell you to listen for breathing.

You need to survive until 6 a.m. using a flashlight to defend yourself.

2.  "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" is more difficult.

The first night of any "Five Nights at Freddy's" is when you learn how to make things work in the game, but not in this fourth installment. According to Kotaku, fans should expect to die multiple times.

3.  There are new tricks.

Monsters are being introduced in later nights, operating at a slightly different rules, Destuctroid learned. By the fifth night, expect to run all over the bedroom to keeping things locked down.

4. "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" had some issues.

Reviews from users indicated freezing and sound problems. After its release, the game reportedly freezes for a handful of seconds then goes back to normal.

The volume was too low that even one player had to hush everyone in the room just so he could hear.

5. The game is allegedly just a dream.

Many are speculating that what happened in the game wasn't real. The final scene suggested that the player is in a coma. This is because of the intravenous drip found near the bed.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 4" has just been released in Google Play Store, Android Authority reported.
