"Legends of Tomorrow" treats its fans with an update about its cast, characters and the things that can be expected when this spin-off premieres in 2016. The biggest news that was revealed so far was the crossover of "Arrow" and "The Flash."
It has been reported that both of CW's top-rated series will lay the groundwork for "Legends of Tomorrow" in the first few episodes of their new season. That being said, fans can expect a lot of character crossovers from these three shows.
One example is Sara Lance, played by Caity Lotz. Before joining "Legends of Tomorrow," Lance, also known as White Canary, will be resurrected in "Arrow" season 4, according to Three If By Space.
Marc Guggenheim, executive producer of "Arrow," said that White Canary will be launched on first few episodes. Lotz said she was surprised because she thought the production made it clear that her character was dead.
The hero of Starling City and Speedy have been confirmed to appear in the 2016 spin-off. "Glee" alum Grant Gustin, who plays the role of Barry Allen, finds it cool to play Flash in three different shows.
The cast for first season of "Legends of Tomorrow" also includes Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer or The Atom, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein or Firestorm, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart or Captain Cold and Dominic Purcell as Mick Ror or Heat Wave, IGN reported.
The common enemy that they will be working against is villain Vandal Savage.
Another character that will appear first in "The Flash" and "Arrow" before crossing to "Legends of Tomorrow" is Hawkman, who will be played by Carter Hall. Hawkman will eventually become Hawkgirl's lover.
In preparation for Hawkgirl's character, Ciara Renee revealed that she's been doing boxing and some martial arts, Digital Spy has learned.
Andrew Kreisberg, the other executive producer of the new show, said that "Legends of Tomorrow" is going to feel as essentially different from the other two.
