San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker was reportedly tapped to be on the cover of the French version of 2K Sports' basketball game "NBA 2K16."

The 33-year-old basketball player is now the fifth basketball star to grace the cover of the game, according to Design & Trend. When it was released, only three names emerged to be its cover stars: New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis, Houston Rockets' James Harden and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry.

A few weeks after, it was revealed that for its special edition, Michael Jordan would be the cover athlete.

Being the third player to serve as the cover athlete of the video game, Parker expressed that he is quite proud of this in an interview with Project Spurs.

"I am very proud to be on the cover of NBA 2k16, a game that I like. I am very happy to be part of the selection that always puts forward the best players in the NBA," he said.

Of course, this is not the first time Tony Parker graced the cover of a video game. He was the cover player for "NBA Live 09" six years ago.

Meanwhile, 2K Sports recently confirmed on Twitter that the Pro-Am game mode will be back on "NBA 2K16." A trailer clip of the game mode was also released by the company.

Bleacher Report has learned that "NBA 2K16" will follow the same gameplay and mechanics found in "NBA 2K14," wherein players get to create their own teams, logos and jerseys for the games in the basketball arena.

The video game is expected to come with detailed leaderboards that will present league leaders, power rankings and many more.
