Blizzard revealed the new expansion pack for "World of Warcraft" at GamesCom 2015 in Germany, according to Kotaku. "Legion" added more exciting features and a new hero class.
At the GamesCom live presentation, Blizzard started by showing off a teaser officially announcing the "WoW" expansion pack, then came the trailer.
"Legion" raised the cap level to 110, and added a new hero class called the Demon Hunter. The trailer showcased artifact weapons like Doomhammer and Ashbringer, along with weapon customization, wherein players are able to unlock different colors.
There's also new PvP honor system and class order halls.
The "World of Warcraft: Legion" trailer made quite an emphasis on the introduction of the Demon Hunter. Also, fans might have noticed the appearance of Illidan and Queen Azshara.
The new class characters can have horns and skin variations like scales and eyewear that resembles Illidan's. Moves included were Fel Rush, Chaos Nova, Eye Beam, Spectral Sight, Chaos Strike and Vengeful Retreat, International Business Times reported.
Broken Island was also added as a new continent, in addition to the new dungeons and raids. The new dungeons include Violet Hold, Neltharion's Lair, Darkheart Thicket, Helheim, Suramar City and Eye of Azshara.
There are no words yet for "World of Warcraft: Legion" beta, but many are anticipating that it will be released some time later this year.
Many are hoping that this expansion pack can draw in more subscribers, especially that Activision confirmed "WoW" lost another 1.5 million users. In March, "WoW" subscribers were down from ten million to seven million, IGN learned.
"Fury" and "Hellfire," the non-expansion updates, helped in stabilizing the number of subscribers, according to Activsion. Despite losing a substantial number of subscribers, Blizzard's revenue was up because of their strong product performance.
The overall online players are also up by 50 percent year over year.
