"Frozen 2" news updates are scarce but juicy details get revealed every now and then. Speculations on what's going to happen in the "Frozen" sequel are also growing in number week after week. This week, a new speculation surfaced claiming that the aftermath of the first movie will be the moving force of "Frozen 2."
Movie Pilot ran a story on Wednesday on what could possibly happen in the sequel and the speculation was based off the classic fairy tale of "The Snow Queen."
According to the site, "Frozen" 2 could follow the storyline of the fairy tale by chronicling the aftereffects of the frozen heart. In the 2013 hit movie, Anna was supposed to end up frozen if not for Elsa's love, which melted the younger sister's frozen heart.
However, Movie Pilot suggested that the problem with Anna's heart may have not ended when the first installment wrapped up. The site noted, "Anna may end up breaking away from her friends and going on her own because of the effect of the frozen heart which was seen in the first movie."
Another thing that fans should watch out for in "Frozen 2" is the secret behind Elsa's powers. Latinos Post pointed out that the first movie failed to explain how Elsa got her powers, so it's very likely that the secret to the Ice Queen's powers will be revealed in "Frozen 2."
But that's not the only thing to look out for in terms of Elsa's storyline. There is also widespread rumor that Elsa might finally find her one and only "Prince Charming" in the upcoming flick.
Amid all these news, rumors and speculations about "Frozen 2" is Olaf's voice actor Josh Gad's recent revelations about the animated film.
Gad even admitted that it's hard to tell whether or not there is going to be a "Frozen" spin-off for Olaf, the very likeable snowman from "Frozen."
"So until there's a reason to do it... you know, like 'Frozen 2' came about a lot quicker than any of us anticipated because you look at the difference in time, there was like 10 years before they made 'Finding Dory' now and six or seven years before they made — 'Toy Story 3.'"
Gad added, "I think that they tend to take a lot of time by virtue of the fact that they want to get it right. They know what the expectation is. Especially for a movie like Frozen where it just became a phenomenon. There's a lot of expectation."
However, speaking of "Frozen 2," Gad revealed that the makers of the sequel are "braking down the story and I'm sure that soon enough they'll know more but they're keeping us in the dark," according to IGN.
"Frozen 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 21, 2018. Stay tuned for more updates.
