The popular microblogging service site Twitter has recently announced that consumers using Nokia's Series 40 'feature phones' will now have their very own Twitter app.
The app is available from June 13 and will allow users to sign up for Twitter, read tweets from accounts and use the 'connect' features of Twitter.
The app offers most of the features that are accessible on the Twitter client on smartphones. Twitter for Nokia can be downloaded from the Nokia Store and will come pre-installed in future Series 40 phones.
"This new app brings most of the features you'd expect to see from a Twitter client on a smartphone to hundreds of millions of feature phones around the world. Twitter for Nokia is available for download today wherever Twitter is accessible around the world. Future built Series 40 phones will have the app preinstalled," said the official Twitter blog.
With Twitter for Nokia, users will be able to post their own tweets and perhaps even follow others peoples' tweets. In addition, there is a @Connect feature that will enable users to view their mentions apart from new followers, where one can then browse the most interesting tweets worldwide via the #Discover feature.
If you have already installed it, how do you find the app so far?
