"Thor 3: Ragnarok" won't be out in theaters until 2017, but speculations and rumors about the anticipated movie have already been spreading like wildfire.

For instance, it has been speculated that Kevin Branagh, who previously directed the first "Thor" movie, will be returning to helm the third installment to the superhero franchise, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, cleared Branagh's involvement saying he will no longer be doing it, Movie News Guide has learned.

"Not true. I don't know where that came from," the Marvel executive said addressing the Branagh rumor.

As a matter of fact, we won't really know who will be helming and writing "Thor 3: Ragnarok" until summer. Feige however, hinted on the possibility that the director and writer will just be one and the same.

Another rumor which surfaced is the introduction of a "Lady Thor" in the flick ignited by Lady Sif actress Jamie Alexander when she claimed that her character will have a pivotal role in "Thor 3," Cross Map reported.

However, she did not specify things saying Marvel Studios are not giving her much information for fear that she might reveal everything. Alexander could only give out much data by disclosing that there are a lot "of Easter eggs and hints" hidden in previously released Marvel flicks like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Avengers."

There is also the purported death of Asgardian god Thor that has been making rounds, according to Vine Report.

It is rumored that Thor will have to die to pass on his powers to his ladylove Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman.

"Portman could easily live up to the hype and requirements of Jane's character as she is well-versed in various movie genres," a report by Venture Capital Post speculated.

Marvel is doing pretty good in keeping things about "Thor 3: Ragnarok" under wraps. And whether these rumors are true or not, we would will only know come November 3, 2017 when the movie hit theaters.
