Although the Unpacked event is only a few hours away, Samsung is still tight-lipped regarding the specs and features of the Galaxy Note 5.

Fortunately, through leaks and rumors, tech fans are already starting to get an idea about what to expect for the company's upcoming flagship phablet.

Based on the images and specs sheet released by Droid Life and GSM Arena respectively, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch screen. For its processor, the latter source noted that it will come with an updated Exynos chipset, which could be version 7420.

The device will house a 16-megapixel main camera while the front portion of the handset will feature a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

According to NDTV, the Galaxy Note 5 will pack 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Other variants of the device will come with storage spaces of 64 and 128GB

However, as previously revealed by Twitter tipster evleaks, the device will not have an expandable memory due to the absence of a microSD card slot. The leaker also mentioned that the upcoming phablet will come with a non-removable 3000mAh battery.

As for its exterior design, Gotta be Mobile reported that the Galaxy Note 5 will feature a curved display. Its rear and front casings will reportedly be made from glass and metal materials.

Like most flagship devices currently available in the market, the Galaxy Note 5 will also come with a fingerprint reader. But, it is not yet confirmed if this security scanner will be integrated with the device's Home button.

Also, like its predecessor, Samsung will also include an S Pen for the upcoming phablet. But, as seen in previously leaked images, it seems users will have to manually push the stylus accessory out of the device's body.

It was previously rumored that Samsung was working on a magnet-based auto-eject system for the S Pen. However, early renderings of the Galaxy Note 5 indicated that it will not have this type of mechanism.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 along with another high-profile device, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, on Aug. 13. Some sources are suggesting that the company will release these two models a day after their launch while others noted they will hit stores sometime in September.
