"Gotham" Season 2 will reel in viewers with revelations on new characters that will definitely add new flavor to the TV series. Here's everything we know so far:
Fox recently announced the full synopsis for the TV series, Den of Geek reported. It revealed Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, will discover more of his father's history in the much awaited show. Season 2 will also unveil the origins of its super villains; Mr. Freeze, The Riddler and Joker.
Aside from the synopsis, the source also posted two of its official teasers on their site as well. The promotional trailers were described as "The lunatics will run the asylum" and "The cave."
As for the production, the site believed that "Gotham" Season 2 might have 22 episodes. They also noted that despite its success, the TV show still encounters mixed reviews from critics. Few problems were cited including the inconsistent screenplay and being backwards compared to the whole Batman mythology. But if the production were able to surpass all the issues, the television show would seamlessly continue for more seasons.
Aside from the news about its plot, teasers and production, Fox happily announced that new characters will emerge on "Gotham" Season 2. According to Screen Rant, this Season is dubbed as "The Rise of the Villains."
Actor Leo Fitzpatrick is said to join the villains as Joe Pike. His character is the leader of the arsonist group called "The Pike Brothers." Though Joe Pike is not part of the traditional Batman mythology, things might not end up well for the chacter, Screen Rant noted.
Another actor that is said to join the series is Michael Piklis. He will be playing the role of the new GCPD Captain Nathaniel Barnes.
Meanwhile, the official poster for "Gotham" Season 2 can be seen on their official Facebook account. Catch the next season on September 21 in Fox.
