McDonald's announced that it will create 700 new jobs around Victoria, Australia and 3000 within the United Stated by the end of the year.
Seven new stores will be opened around Victoria by the end of the year and will hire up to 100 people per location.
McDonald's Australia chief executive Catriona Nobel said that most of the restaurants are ran by young employees.
"We have got young restaurant managers in their 20s managing over 100 people, managing schedules of peaks and troughs across a week-they have to order in fresh produce in the right amounts."
In its search for new employees, the franchise is keeping an eye out to fill specific positions including baristas, managers, front-of-store operators and kitchen staff.
The Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry is welcoming of the news.
VECCI chief economist Steven Wojtkiw said, "McDonald's planned addition of seven new stores in Victoria that will create around 700 new jobs...shows Victoria remains a competitive destination for investment and business growth."
