Suffolk County prosecutors have granted immunity to Alexander Bradley who was believed to be with former NFL athlete Aaron Hernandez the night the latter has shot Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado to death in a double shooting incident back in 2012. Fox News reported that authorities alleged Bradley to have been on the passenger seat of Hernandez's car during the July drive-by that year.

As a result of the alleged granting of immunity, Bradley may serve as a witness for the prosecution against the Patriot tight end in the murder case against him scheduled on December this year. According to Boston.Com, Hernandez shot the victims twice while in their car after de Abreu accidentally bumped into him earlier that night in a Boston nightclub causing for the athlete's drink to spill.

Boston Globe said in a report that Suffolk's District Attorney Daniel F. Conley has not yet confirmed whether Bradley received immunity with regard to the shooting incident but during the court filing on Aug. 24, Bradley's lawyers have provided the camp of Hernandez several documents which include an 'Agreement for Immunity' between Assistant District Attorney Patrick Hagaan and Bradley's counsel Robert P. Pickering.

Meanwhile, lawyers of the 25 year-old Patriot have pleaded for the dismissal of a first degree murder case filed by Bradley after the athlete has shot him in the eye while in a Miami strip club on February 2013 according to another article of the Boston Globe. Counsels for Hernandez contended that said charge should be dismissed on the grounds that Bradley had refused to provide his criminal record and other information surrounding the pre-trial discovery requests.

Hernandez is currently serving a lifetime imprisonment sentence with no chance for parole after having been convicted last April for the death of Odin L. Lloyd, a man who has dated his ex-fiance's sister.
