"Angel From Hell" may sound scary, but it's not. Viewers may be curious what this new TV show is all about, so without further ado, here are five quick facts about CBS' new series — including the cast, plot and some spoilers.
1. "Angel From Hell" Cast
The new CBS series stars "Psych" actress Maggie Lawson, who will play the Doctor Allison. Deadline describes her character as a multi-tasker, perfectionist and successful.
The famous "Glee" sinister, Jane Lynch, will play the bold and exciting character of Amy. She's alcoholic, homeless and possibly high, and she proclaims herself as Allison's guardian angel.
"I love what a mess she is and that she has no shame around her alcoholism or the fact that she lives in her car," Lynch said at the TCA summer press tour, Monday.
"House of Lies" actor Kevin Pollak will play the role of Marv, a dermatologist. He will be Allison's business partner, while "She's Out Of My League" actor Kyle Bornheimer will play the character of Brad, a pharmaceutical sales rep and Allison's younger brother.
2. "Angel From Hell" Plot
It is a single-camera comedy about Amy, who refers herself as Allison's guardian angel. Allison, on the other hand, is convinced that Amy is just an outspoken nut, until every single warning Amy is giving her is proven to be true.
Amy gives Allison a warning that she could not tell anybody about her. Allison will also try to push Amy away, before she revealed this was her final chance to prove herself as an angel after screwing up, Broadway World reported.
The duo will form an unlikely friendship as the series moves along.
3. "Angel From Hell" Spoiler
Creator Tad Quill revealed that the inspirations of this series are the classic comedies, like "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Bewitched," The Hollywood Reporter learned.
"What would it be like if a person actually came into your life and said they were your guardian angel?" Quill said. "And to boot, that person was drunk and possibly high and smelled a little homeless."
Meanwhile, Lynch shared that her character — since she is in a human form — can be intimate with others. Except, she can never fall in love.
4. "Angel From Hell" Release Date
The series will premiere on Nov. 5 at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
