Star Wars enthusiasts have always been excited since the announcement of a standalone Han Solo film. This time, reports confirmed that there will be a month-long IMax premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Could the movie surpass "Jurassic World" in terms of multi-billion dollar gross?

According to Deadline, there might be a chance that "The Force Awakens" could be "slated for a record- shattering opening." Since it has been confirmed that the movie will have its 4-week IMax premiere in the U.S., the movie could land a multi-billion dollar hit in its total sales.

Experts speculated that the film could make a record of $615 million on premiere week alone. Should this happen, "The Force Awakens" might gain an estimated $1 or $2 billion worldwide total sales. Hence, the 7th Star Wars film could surpass "Jurassic World," which landed with a $524 million opening hit and a record of $1 billion sales in 13 days.

However, Star Wars 7 News noted that it could just be a mere possibility, citing Disney's decision not to release any official footage either in San Diego Comic-Con or in D23 Expo in Anaheim. Aside from that, an official plot and a full trailer have not debuted yet.

Since J.J. Abrams and the whole production team are mum regarding the aforementioned, perhaps they are just planning for a huge marketing strategy for the film.

For the first time, Star Wars's official Instagram account released a 15-second teaser of Finn Stormtrooper holding what seems to be Luke Skywalker's long lost blue Lightsaber. Fans seem to be hyped upon watching the clip that has now reached 187k likes and more than 37k comments.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premieres on Dec. 18.
