Is Nick Gordon flat broke? Despite braving all the odds just to visit Bobbi Kristina Brown's gravesite in New Jersey, Gordon is facing a new wave of controversies claiming his visit was just for a show since he's desperately in need of money.
Nick Gordon seemed to have caught the sympathy of the public when he was photographed visiting his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown's grave in at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey three weeks after her death. Even though, Brown's family banned him from attending the funeral services, Gordon made a way to pay his last respect.
Unfortunately, Nick Gordon's visit was allegedly a way to earn some cash to fund his high-profile legal team, which included Atty. Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's lawyer, NJ.com noted.
"It was not by accident that Nick was photographed at the site," an insider said. "Nick is broke. He can't afford to defend himself. There was a deal for that money to go to his defense fund."
Earlier this month, Nick Gordon flew to New Jersey to visit Bobbi Kristina Brown's grave. According to International Business Times, generous friends paid for his flight but no one was named. And as per another source, The National Enquirer paid Gordon $40,000 to be photographed next to Krissi's grave.
Nick Gordon's representative, on the other hand, denied the reports that Gordon was paid for the photos, which was first reported by New York Post's Page Six.
"This is completely fabricated," Gordon's rep stated. "I would also like to add, Page Six isn't a trusted source in news." While an Enquirer rep said, "The National Enquirer, more than any other publication, has been unflinching in our reporting of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown."
Meanwhile, Nick Gordon is still facing a pre-existing lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina Brown's conservator Bedelia Hargrove. As previously reported, the civil lawsuit is seeking over $10 million in damages, claiming that Gordon was responsible for the wrongful death of Whitney Houston's daughter and for allegedly stealing from her bank account.
To date, no criminal charges have been filed against Nick Gordon, who straightforwardly denied the accusations, claiming that his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown, just took too many drugs on Jan. 31.
