"Blacklist" season 3's Hisham Tawfiq, who plays the role of Dembe Zuma, teased his encounter with Mr. Solomon.
He was asked, during his interview with Fox411, if there was anything he can spoil to the fans about "Blacklist" season 3.
"I think I can tell you that there is a villain Mr. Solomon who is very interesting and I have some dealings with him," Tawfiq said in response.
Tawfiq's character was presumed to be the bodyguard of Raymond Reddington, James Spader's character. He was identified as a freedom fighter from South Sudan, whose family was murdered.
Tawfiq was tight-lipped about the details of the encounter. As far as fans know, Mr. Solomon is the one handling the dirty work for the Cabal, which framed Liz Kean — played by Megan Boone — who will be on the run with Reddington after her name was included in the top list of fugitives.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" actor Edi Gathegi will be playing the recurring role of Mr. Solomon in "Blacklist" season 3, Entertainment Weekly exclusively learned. He may be soft spoken on the outside, but what's underneath that gentleman's clothing is a monster capable of so much violence.
Meanwhile, the same site also exclusively reported the first "Blacklist" season 3 trailer released by NBC, which shows off Kean's blonde hairdo.
Executive producer Jon Bokenkamp explained that when the former agent changed her looks, it made her realize the resemblance she has of her mother.
"It felt like a really nice, organic way to take the on-the-run story of two fugitives and yet tie it back into the mythology of who Liz is, who Red is, what their relationship is and to lean into the bigger question of identity," Bokenkamp said.
"Blacklist" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 1. Season 2 will reportedly premiere on Netflix on Sept. 16 to give fans the time to catch up if they missed any episodes from the previous season, according to the International Business Times.
