"The Angry Birds Movie" is finally coming soon on the big screen. In 2009, the mobile game has been downloaded above 3 billion times, making it impossible for human interaction if a person was playing the game. Can it match the success it earned as a mobile game? Hopefully, so say hello to Red, Chuck and Bomb as they toughen up to keep the little green piggies at bay.

Sony Pictures and Rovio Entertainment, Finnish developer of the game teamed up to make the birds' transition from the small screen to the cinemas. Entertainment Weekly reported the mobile game's appeal was mostly based upon its simplicity. The main objective was to destroy the wicked pigs who stole their egg by using an assortment of avian artillery. Producer John Cohen, who also produced "Despicable Me," gave an enlightening answer to the frequently asked question "Why are these birds so angry?" He said, "This is the origin story for how that conflict came to exist between birds and little green piggies."

Everyone, say hello to Red, who's voiced by Jason Sudeikes, is a bird that gets his feather easily ruffled. Clay Kaytis, who directs alongside Fergal Reilly said that Red is a "curmudgeon." He further stated, "We knew we had to find an actor who could say
these things and still be charming, and that was Jason." Joining the team of birds with anger-management issues are Chuck, a hyperactive speed weirdo voiced by Josh Gad and the every so often explosive Bomb given to life by Danny McBride. It's their responsibility to protect their nests from the snouted interlopers and their spokesman, Leonard, who's given voice by Bill Hader.

Reilly shared that the pressure to deliver is high because of the success of "The Angry Birds" as a mobile game. "It's an advantage that we have such a huge brand," he said.

Meanwhile, Kaytis was reportedly satisfied to have Sudeikis' voice for Red's character. Other cast of "The Angry Birds Movie" includes Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Peter Dinklage, as per International Business Times.

Comicbook.com revealed that three new picture stills of the birds were released. It showed an image of Red and Bomb, their arch enemies - the little green pigs and the third looked like the birds' getting ready to take on the enemies.

"The Angry Birds Movie" hits theaters on May 20, 2016.
