"Wolverine 3" News — Bryan Singer is exiting the "X-Men" film universe after the final installment of the Wolverine-led trilogy despite being the helmer who established the blockbuster franchise since the first flick was released in 2000.
In a shocking turn of events, it has been confirmed by IMDb that in unison with the end of the Wolverine-led trilogy is Singer's departure from the "X-Men" film universe. "This is the last film in Bryan Singer's 'X-Men' Film Universe," wrote the online database for films, shows, video games and the media in general.

The news comes amid Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman's revelation that since he is ending his run as the animalistic, clawed mutant, and he is also considering taking on another big role by being open to playing James Bond. The Aussie actor was even quoted to have said that he'd "seriously consider it," reported FanSided.

Nevertheless, since the announcement that Craig is moving on from the role, it was Idris Elba's name that has surfaced as the frontrunner to play James Bond among fans.
Anyhow, "Wolverine 3" is to be primarily directed by James Mangold, as is the case with the two previous installments. In a Jimmy Fallon interview, Schreiber said, "I don't know if I'm invited, but what I heard was that the storyline is Old Man Logan. And when I heard that, I thought 'Well, you know... there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth."
"Wolverine 3" is set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017, while "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated for a May 27, 2016 release.
