"That was what was so intriguing about the part," Pertwee said, according to GoErie.com. "This isn't a case of reinventing a role but giving the character some subtext."

"If the richest man in the world gives the only man he trusts his greatest asset — his son — why would an East Ender be working for him?" he continued. "It's because of his military past."

2. Alfred will be become the young Bruce Wayne's, by David Mazouz. dark Arts teacher.

Pertwee said that "Gotham" season 2 will show more of how Alfred's involvement in teaching Wayne how to fight without a use of firearms and not to kill.

3. "Gotham" season two will reveal Alfred's involvement on how Wayne became a Dark Knight.

They may have disagreements right now, but once they get pass that, fans will learn how Alfred's character becomes more involved in the process of turning Wayne into a Dark Knight.

How is Pennyworth going to do that? The mystery will unravel once "Gotham" returns for its season 2 on Fox.

While we contemplate over these teasers, here's an exclusive sneak peek from The Hollywood Reporter, showing how Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, loses his badge and gun.
