"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" upcoming season 3 will be all about the "Inhumans," according to International Business Times.
Clark Gregg, who plays Phil Coulson, and Chloe Bennet, who plays Skye, try to set up the Inhuman-composed Secret Warriors team. As they do that, they'll soon know that not every Inhuman is here to save the world as evidenced by the Inhuman Lash.
"On a very basic level, we were interested in putting a monster in the mix, because he is not human and his looks are pretty crazy and scary," said executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
She further added, "We wanted to put our team up against something like that."
According to reports, when asked where the new season of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" picks up, Tancharoen said that three months will have passed since the last season's timeline. This will be proved by new partnerships within the team and a new mission that the audience will immediately feel the time shift.
Tancharoen and co-executive producer Jed Whedon also commented about the "Secret Warriors" and how S.H.I.E.L.D will react. She said, "There's varying opinions. They are aware, but any sort of new thing brought into their world there's going to be conflict and different feelings about it."
While Whedon further added that, "But, again, it's something that there are a lot of steps on the road to getting there, so we'll see how they deal with each coming new development."
Marvel Television has their hands full as according to reports by IGN, they have just announced their line-up for the New York Comic-Con.
Apart from "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," they will also bring sequels to their other hit series such as "Daredevil," "Agent Carter" and the upcoming "Jessica Jones."
However, Marvel TV has yet to announce the cast members of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and "Agent Carter" who will attend the convention.
As for the "Jessica Jones" series, although the cast was not individually named, it has been confirmed to be part of the entourage at New York Comic-Con.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return this Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 pm. ET on ABC.
