Nike has announced it plans to stock retail shelves with their most expensive sneaker yet, the LeBron X. Nike claims that the sneaker will be the world's first smart shoe, and it cost a staggering $315 per pair.
The super sneakers are not like anything else on the market. These shoes are the first of their kind and were inspired by the Miami Heat forward, MVP and 10th-highest paid player in the NBA, LeBron James. The sneakers are set to be released just in time for the holidays.
The shoes are to include motion sensors that can tell how high the wearers jump. Basketball players are sure to make use of the shoes ability to measure jumping height or "hangtime" as players say, because this will give them motivation to continue striving for higher jumping measurements.
Nike is known for releasing ground breaking and innovative shoes. However the company is also notoriously known for creating sneakers that have been hazardous to the well beings of the workers who sell the sneakers and the customers who purchase the sneakers.
Customers of Nike new releases have been robbed, killed and stalked for their purchases of the company's products.
Riots have been sparked in malls across America because of potential customers camping overnight at shoe retailers that carry Nike sneakers.
Despite the negative attention and outcome Nike's sneakers bring, the company is also responsible for sneaker retailers like Footlocker increasing their hiring during the holiday seasons to keep up with the demand from consumers for the Nike products.
Nike's "Air Yeezy" sneaker which were designed in favor of rapper Kanye West, recently sold on eBay for $90,000 on eBay, making the sneakers the most expensive pair of Nikes ever sold on eBay.
