"The Taken King," Destiny's latest expansion, has just been released and it's creating quite a buzz on the internet.
Many gamers and video game critics are asking if this update from "Destiny" corrects the previous issues that has appeared in the game.
According to Polygon, "The Taken King's" creative director Luke Smith sees and agrees with the critics on what parts of the game need work the most.
"I felt like the story and the writing and the characterful nature of the game was an area that we had a lot of potential that we could capitalize on," Smith said.
Just last week, "Destiny" released the 2.0 game patch, but the usual complaints about the game remains.
However, Bungie and Smith took the extra step to bring more color and fun in the game's latest patch, "The Taken King."
The game's executive producer, Mark Noseworthy, also said that their team made it their personal goal to improve the story.
And it seems that they have succeeded as reported by IGN, the biggest change "The Taken King" has contributed is its improved storytelling. Noting that Bungie has put great emphasis on the overall arc told in the game.
Boasting cohesive narratives, good looking cut scenes and a plot that makes the player want to continue with the game.
Apart from the story, a new questing system was also implemented and works well to guide you through tasks.
Players can utilize this just by simply adding a mark to the quest line or bounty, and it will show up with a green mark on your map.
As reported by the Metro, not only is this the biggest expansion, but also the most expensive and the only one to be sold as a boxed copy, dubbed the "Legendary Edition" that includes the expansion and the main game.
"Destiny: The Taken King" clocks at a price of $59 at Game Stop, while the Collector's Edition is priced at $79.
