Sorry! Watch OS 2 Did Not Arrive On Wednesday; Apple Fixing Bug To Release Update ‘Shortly’

Sorry Apple fans! The Cupertino-headquartered tech giant has opted to delay its much anticipated Watch OS 2 software update. It was supposed to be released on Wednesday, but Apple Watch owners who waited for it were left hanging and disappointed.
The Northern Californian has reported that Apple has released a statement that the Watch OS 2 was not released on Wednesday and is being delayed after the company found a bug in the software that was intended to update the operating system of the Apple Watch.
It is disappointing to note however that Apple chose to break the news on Sept. 16, the same day that the Watch OS 2 was expected to be released — talk about timing! Fortunately, an Apple spokesperson has assured Apple fans that the software update will be released "shortly."
"We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly," said the spokesperson in an interview with TechCrunch.
The spokesperson was not able to provide a specific time frame for the Watch OS 2's release, so fans and Apple Watch owners will have to wait for more updates from the tech giant.
Apple's Watch OS 2 is the first ever software update the company is releasing for its famous line of smartwatches that debuted in April. It aims to fix problems that users have been concerned of.
Though the delay may have caused a huge disappointment for Apple Watch users who waited for Wednesday to arrive since the announcement of the update in Apple's WWDC event in June, this bold move by the company could be considered as a preventive measure as it has previously launched an iPhone software that prevented users from making calls, Livemint has noted. It's better to be safe than sorry, anyway.
