Amir Khan may beat you up in boxing but outside of the court, Khan can be a total humanitarian.

As reported by Sky News, the professional boxer was seen leading a humanitarian convoy to Lesbos, Greece — the place which has the majority of the migrant intake.

"There's thousands and thousands of people arriving here, in Greece, just for a safer life and a better life," Khan said.

He added, "So we need to definitely, you know, help them and we need to show our support towards them. They need food, they need aid, clothing, they come to this country with nothing."

As an effort to give charitable contributions, the two-time world champion founded the Amir Khan King Foundation, an organization dedicated to help those in need.

This particular mission was reportedly a part of a seven-vehicle humanitarian convoy which travelled to Greece to help migrants in the country.

BT.com also reported that Khan has released a series of video messages to his fans, addressing the Syrian crisis, in particular, the migrants who are fleeing the country.

The series of videos was released on the social media video app SnapChat. The videos show the 28-year old boxer visiting various refugee camps and watching a boat of refugees arrive on the island.

When asked what his inspiration to help was, Khan said that his trip was sparked by the viral image of a three-year old boy, Aylan Kurdi, washed up on a beach in a fatal attempt to leave Syria.

According to The Mirror, the Amir Khan Foundation has also teamed up with the charity Penny Appeal to help deliver the needed help to the refugees arriving to Lesbos.

"It's heartbreaking to see images of children losing their lives as their families flee from devastating conflict," said Khan.

"What's even more disturbing is knowing that many more lives will be lost unless we provide urgent aid to these refugees who don't have anyone to turn to," he added.
