"Dungeon Defenders 2," is finally coming to Sony's PS4 on Sept. 29 as pre-alpha, IGN reported. The tower defense game, filled with some classic role playing game elements, already has early access that had been made available on PC since December.
Philip Asher, marketing director at Trendy, stated in a blog that controller support and two-player local co-op, will be featured in "Dungeon Defenders 2."
One game supporter raised a concern about granting access for council members, and asked if the extra content they got on PC can be transferred over to this version.
"@Joker_13zz Thanks for supporting us for so long! You should be able to redeem your Defense Council rewards on PC or PS4 at release, but not both," Asher replied.
"We currently do not have plans to support transferring accounts from the PC to PS4, but it's definitely something we may be interested in after release!" he added.
Since the version of "Dungeon Defenders 2" that will be launching on Sept. 29 is still on pre-alpha stage, some features may not be ready immediately, as per the report of Game Spot. The local co-op and controller support, will reportedly be ahead of the PC version during this time, but other features and content will be rolled in after the PC release.
The "Dungeon Defenders 2" full version will be free-to-play. However, Cinema Blend has learned that in order to play the early access PS4 version, the gamer needed to buy one of the three cash bundles, which will be available upon the end-of-the-month release.
The bundles, which are reportedly identical to the ones available on PC, will have gems, Hero accessories, skins, additional Hero slots and more, available at $14.99, $24.99 and $74.99. PlayStation Plus members will reportedly have an additional discount once it launches.
More updates for "Dungeon Defenders 2" are expected to be revealed in the coming days, so stay tuned.
