The Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber saga ended a long time ago, but people can't seem to separate the two to this day.
Gomez recently released her emotionally charged new song, "Same Old Love," whose lyrics are already garnering speculations that it pertains to her roller coaster relationship with Justin Bieber.
According to Hollywood Life, lyrics like "Take away your things and go/You can't take back what you said, I know/I've heard it all before, at least a million times/I'm not one to forget, you know," seems to be aimed directly at pop sensation Justine Bieber.
But according to Gomez, she is now feeling great and ready to finally get over her failed relationship with the controversial "Boyfriend" singer.
Gomez said, "You're supposed to go through growing pains." She further stated, "I'm glad I've never been perfect. You know, I don't care at this point that people have seen my mistakes because I'm a human being," as quoted by E! News.
Speaking about her upcoming album, Gomez said during a promotion of her movie that "I feel like I'm a pregnant woman at nine months and I just want the baby to come out already because it means the world to me, and it's so great for me to actually be heard."
Meanwhile, the song "Same Old Love" was also seen as a reply to Justin Bieber's song, "What Do You Mean?" that details his take about their concluded relationship.
And as reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry, "What Do You Mean?" was recently covered by Bieber and Gomez' fellow pop star Ariana Grande.
However, some are seeing this negatively since the song was also a diss track by Bieber to Gomez. As reported by site, Gomez learned about Grande's performance and sources close to the singer said that she was not impressed.
An inside source said, "Selena just feels like everyone is taking Justin's side and ganging up on her. Ariana would have been livid if Big Sean wrote a diss song about her, and then Selena sang it in front of thousands of people."
Ariana Grande has yet to comment regarding on the matter.
