Matt Damon’s wife has always been very supportive of the actor, and it shows because she’s always there whenever her movie star husband hits the red carpet. And at times when Damon is experiencing some challenges just like the recent controversy regarding his comments on sexuality and race, his better half is always by his side. So who is Matt’s wife?
According to The Guardian, Matt Damon's wife is Luciana Barroso, a 39-year-old bartender-turned-Hollywood actor spouse.
Barroso was said to be a bartender in Miami when the "Bourne" franchise actor met her in 2013. However, it appears that the actor was smitten with the Argentinian beauty that two years later they tied the knot in Manhattan.
Matt Damon's wife is already a mom of four. She has three kids with the actor named Isabella, Gia and Stella. She also has a child from a previous relationship named Alexia.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, Damon acknowledged that he is one lucky guy for finding Luciana. "I'm lucky I found my wife. I guess maybe, if there's any secret ... it's to feel lucky," the 44-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight last month.
At the time, Damon also admitted that he finds the sacrament of marriage insane, but it's all worth it since he is married to Barroso.
"I think marriage is insane. It's a crazy idea but I love being married to my wife. So I wouldn't tell anybody else anything about their relationship," he said at the time, as per People.
Matt Damon's wife is also very lucky because her husband has always put his family first, and, more than anything, "The Martian" star prioritizes family time. "Usually, we're all together. Sometimes it's challenging, but like we were talking about before, it just has to be the priority," the actor told Today this week.
Interestingly, Matt always sees to it that his romance with Luciana is burning by setting a "two week rule," one that he and his soulmate should abide by.
"We have a two week rule. I'm not away for more than two weeks. I think you need to be with the person you love as much as possible. My wife is my soulmate. I don't like being apart from her," he told YourTango.
