The 2016 Tesla Model S P90D was described by critics as still the "crown jewel" of Tesla Motors.
Ever since its introduction way back in 2012, the Tesla Model S continues to amaze fans and convert critics every year.
According to Mashable, the 2016 Tesla Model S P90D has self-heating batteries that aim to provide peak levels of performance. In addition, the fully-electric car also has two digital drive modes namely, "SPORT" and "LUDICROUS."
In a related report by Wired, when you put the 2016 Tesla Model S P90D in "LUDICROUS" mode, expect the car to go 0 to 60MPH in just an insane 2.8 seconds! The car has so much power and so much torque, you won't believe that you are driving a fully-electric vehicle.
The 2016 Tesla Model S P90D also boasts a larger battery pack compared to the previous model and its expected to go for 300 miles before needing to be charged. It was also hailed as Tesla's flagship performance model, Transport Evolved has learned.
But you might be wondering what the "P90D" stands for in which Bloomberg Business defined it as "Performance 90-kilowatt-hour Dual-motor." The electric car is equipped with two 90-kilowatt motor combination.
As for driving impressions, the 2016 Tesla Model S P90D was described as being in a different plane. Although it was reported to be not as nimble as a Porsche 911 or even a BMW M3 for a sedan, it goes great on tight corners.
Its suspension is worth noting too. Featuring smart air suspension system, the car will stay firmly on the ground even at high speeds.
The interior of the car just screams "modernity" as almost everything is either touch screen or push-operated. As for its main controls, the car has a 17-inch screen in the center that aids in easy navigation around the controls.
For its basic model price, expect to shell out about $105,000. However, if you wish to put some additional flash on your P90D, Tesla offers a $1000 carbon fiber hood, $4,500 21-inch rims and a $2,500 high-fidelity sound system.
The 2016 Tesla Model S P90D is the car of the future, and the future is now.
