“Thor 3: Ragnarok” will see Hulk team up with the God of Thunder together with Loki and Lady Sif?
Mark Ruffalo’s character, Hulk aka Bruce Banner was last seen in a Quinjet which apparently crashed into the ocean. Marvel fans can’t help but wonder when the big green guy will be seen again aside from his expected appearance in the “Avengers: Infinity War” movie.
The wait was over as JoBlo reported that they have received information from sources that “Thor 3: Ragnarok” will include Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk for Chris Hemsworth’s third solo outing as Thor and help battle the coming Norse Apocalypse. Tom Hiddleston will also reprise his role as Loki as well as “Blindspot” actress Jaimie Alexander who plays Lady Sif.
“Thor 3: Ragnarok” will supposedly involve a “distant planet” that is “not Earth nor Asgard.” Sounds pretty interesting. Will this be where Marvel will incorporate the long time storyline rumor of Planet Hulk? So far, details should be taken with a grain of salt as no verification has come from Marvel. It’s also unknown if how long will Mark Ruffalo portray Hulk or Bruce Banner but supposedly it’s absolute that he will be a supporting cast and featured prominently.
In addition, IGN has learned that both “Thor 3: Ragnarok” and “Captain Marvel” may shoot scenes in Australia. The studio was also having negotiations with “Flight of the Conchords” director Taika Waititi to helm the movie which will start filming in 2016.
Going back to the tandem of Thor and Hulk in “Thor 3: Ragnarok,” it would seem fit for the two Avengers to team up, both from a business and character perspective, as per Collider. Chris Hemsworth’s solo starrer, “Thor” and its sequel “Thor 2: Dark World” have gathered lukewarm reception from moviegoers while the “Hulk” movies floundered when they were shown in cinemas, so maybe Hulk and Thor can boost each other’s rating.
As for Bruce Banner, the scientist in him may become fascinated with Asgard or the outer realms while his alter ego Hulk can likely survive the harsh elements that outer space will offer. So far, he’s the most highly qualified Avenger to survive Thor’s territory.
“Thor 3: Ragnarok” will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
