In an incident that you thought you'll only see in the movies, it was reported that three people were seriously injured in Hawaii after being attacked by a shark in two separate occasions.

As reported by AOL, two men were seriously injured when a shark attacked them, and then shortly before noon, a 44-year old man was then wounded on what appeared to be another shark attack in the waters of Lanikai Beach in Oahu, Hawaii.

According to reports, the first victims, whose ages were unknown, were swimming to the shore from the Mokulua Islands when the shark attacked them. The attack happened about 50 to 100 yards from shore, as said by the Honolulu Fire Department.

In a related report by the Daily Mail, this is now the sixth shark attack in Hawaii this year and the second on Oahu this month. Obviously, it seems that shark attacks are getting more and more frequent.

As reported by CBS News, the shark's attack on the third victim is as gruesome as it is serious. According to the witnesses, the 44-year-old unidentified man was taken to the hospital and may have lost both of his feet.

Two people who helped the man were identified as Mike Dilks and Joey Montano; they rushed to the victim's side after they heard people yelling from the water.

Dilks said, "I yelled in, 'Call 911! Shark attack! We need a tourniquet!" while Montano added that he was already on the phone with the police when the incident happened.

Dilks also said that his girlfriend grabbed a rope from his garage for them to use as a tourniquet to control the victim's bleeding. He added, "I didn't realize the severity of his injuries until we pulled him out of the water."

Montano further elaborated on the severity of the attack saying: "Injuries were pretty extreme, both legs, just above the ankle were just hanging on."
