Renee Zellweger has been getting a lot of attention from many people while filming for “Bridget Jones’s Baby” because of her “new” look.
Since she debuted her different image last 2014, fans of the Bridget Jones actress were worried for the outcome of the third installment of the "Bridget Jones" franchise given Renee Zellweger’s changed appearance.
Recently, at the LA County Walk to Defeat ALS, where the “Bridget Jones’s Baby” star participated in support of her longtime publicist and friend Nanci Ryder, she talked to E! News and opened up what she felt about portraying the iconic role for the third time.
The Oscar winner said she’s having “a good time.” Renee Zellweger further stated, "It's really a nice reunion with old friends. And it's always wonderful to be back in London and I love this character so it's been a real treat to get to revisit it again."
Renee Zellweger will reprise her role as Bridget Jones, fifteen years after she first starred opposite Colin Firth who played Mark Darcy and Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver in “Bridget Jones’s Diary” in 2001. The sequel “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” was shown in 2004.
However, Hugh Grant will not be returning in “Bridget Jones’s Baby.” Instead, “Grey’s Anatomy” alum Patrick Dempsey, whose role has yet to be revealed, will join Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth in the franchise.
And because it has been a long time since Renee Zellweger has spoken as Bridget Jones with her endearing English accent, Mirror has learned the 46-year-old actress has hired the services of a vocal coach. Apparently she forgot how she came to acquire the distinctive posh accent fans loved in the first two “Bridget Jones” movies.
Meantime, Daily Mail reported Reese Witherspoon joined the “Bridget Jones” actress as they both actively took part in a 1.6 mile walk to raise funds for ALS research. The two talented blondes wore Team Nanci T-shirts in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, on Sunday. Nanci Ryder is also Reese’s personal publicist and has been battling the horrific disease starting last summer.
