Sahara Davenport Dies of Heart Failure

New York Native, Sahara Davenport (birth-name, Antoine Ashley) from RuPaul's Drag Race passed away on Monday a the age of 27 due to heart failure, according to his mother Angela Ashley Reddish.

Davenport was a drag entertainer who inspired others with his passion, art, beauty and dedication.
Davenport will be well missed and his vibrancy and beauty will be remembered. His contributions to art and performance were not limited to drag performance but also music and film. According to the TorontoSun,

Davenport "appeared on A & E Network's 15 Films about Madonna," Voom HD's "Maginicent Obsessions," ABC's "One Life to Live" and more. Kari Westerberg (his moniker is Karl Westerberg), his boyfriend of six years released a statement saying that :
"Antoine lived to entertain the world as Sahara Davenport and the world was in awe over his extreme talent. But his heart is what made us all fall in love with him," he said.

"To me he will always be my best friend, my hero, my diva and I have always considered myself more than lucky to have him be forever a part of my life. Thank you, hon, for bringing so much beauty to all of us. Your legacy lives on in me and all of us you've touched."

RuPaul gave his profound condolences via Twitter stating that he is : "Shocked & heartbroken over @ SaharaDavenport. Never occurred to me that we'd ever lose one of my girls. I see them as immortal"

Davenport has left his mark and will be remembered.
